Upon approval of the TechAdvance™ option, a formal agreement is signed between CO2Neutral and your company. Once signed, you can begin placing equipment orders and receive the future resale value today to reduce the purchase cost of your newly acquired technology.

Return Devices for Secure Processing

At the agreed upon return date, CO2Neutral will receive the technology back and securely sanitize the devices of any data. Devices will be refurbished to ensure they receive a second life at the end of the refresh cycle.

What Are Carbon Credits?

A carbon credit represents a measurement of reduced carbon emissions achieved by one party, which can be used to compensate (offset) the emissions of another party.

By reselling refurbished technology that would otherwise be recycled or sent to a landfill, the need for manufacturing new technology (a process that creates carbon emissions) is eliminated, therefore generating a carbon credit.

Companies such as HSBC, Nike, and the Bank of Montreal are already leveraging carbon credits to reduce their carbon footprints. Can I participate in the program if I intend to keep my devices for more than 5 years?

The maximum term for the program is 5 years with the most aggressive residual values occurring in a 2 or 3 year refresh cycle.

Thus, the carbon dioxide emissions (CO2e) associated with the production and manufacturing of new technology (e.g., extracting of raw materials, manufacturing, shipping, etc.) are never incurred. The entire refurbishment and resale process is documented and verified, after which carbon credits are generated and registered with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).

What if I want to hold on to the devices after the agreed return date?

At the end of the term, you have the following options :
– return the equipment , purchase it at the then fair market value or continue to use it for a predetermined rental amount per month.
